Rev. Gene Daggerhart - Interim Pastor

Gene has pastored five churches in North and South Carolina over a 50-year time span. He graduated from North Greenville Junior College, Furman University, and The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. He retired from the active pastorate in 2017. He is serving our church as a Sunday School teacher as well as interim pastor. Gene loves to read and work in his vegetable and flower gardens. He and his wife, Sherri, have three sons, and the light of their lives is their granddaughter who keeps them active with occasional overnight stays.

Pastor Ryan Vaughan - Associate Pastor of Youth and Children

Ryan is our dedicated Associate Pastor of Youth and Children. He has been married to his wife, Lauren, for 11 years. He is a loving gather to two children. He cares for their lively dog and their turtle. Ryan is a devoted Sunday School teacher here at MIdway. Ryan’s passion extends beyond ministry, as he enthusiastically supports all University of South Carolina sports. His commitment to faith, family, and fostering avibrant youth community makes him a valuable part of our team.

Sherri Daggerhart - Interim Minister of Music

Sherri has been involved with church music from an early age- from being in children and youth choirs, accompanying those, being in adult choirs and accompanying those as well as church services. She has a Bachelor of Music and Bachelor of Music Education from Furman University as well as a Masters+30 from USC and taught Elementary Musicfor 32 years. She has been church music director in churches in SC, NC, and KY. Sherri has been married to her husband, Gene, for 53 years. They have three married sons and one granddaughter.

Sonya Byars - Church Secretary

Serving as the church secretary for the last eight years has granted me the privilege of witnessing the beautiful tapestry of faith, and compassion here at Midway. Beyond the church, Sonya enjoys spending time with her three children and her three wonderful grandchildren.

Ashley Cooper - Nursery Worker

Ashley is an invaluable member of our Midway team. She along with volunteers staff our nursery each week. She is also employed by our Midway Weekday Ministry. She is very comfortable taking care of our children and provides parents with a safe and loving environment that allows them to worship without worry.
